On Friday 20th September 2019, Secretary of State for Education, Gavin Williamson and MP for Charnwood, Edward Argar, visited Newtown Linford Primary School to discuss the impact additional funding can have on small, rural schools.

Armed Forces Covenant Signing

On Friday 31st January 2020, Chairman, Sue Pritchard, attended the Armed Forces Covenant Signing at Charnwood Borough Council offices.

Newtown Linford Parish Council are one of the first Parish Councils in Leicestershire to sign the Covenant and pledge support to this scheme, which encourages understanding and awareness of the issues affecting veterans and their families within the local community and promotes better help and support for existing and ex-Armed Forces personnel and their families.
