Newtown Linford Parish Council Serving the people of Newtown Linford

The Village Magazine was created out of the All Saints Church Magazine after consulting the residents of the village through the Village Appraisal. It is run by a Committee and funded by the Parish Council, the Church Council and Advertising.

The print on the front cover is taken from a painting done by John Nixon and presented to Father Peter Sheridan upon his retirement as Non-Stipendiary Vicar. It is published on the last weekend in the month except January and August. the deadline for copy is the 15th of each month.

We are proud to say the magazine was the first winner of the Radio Leicester Parish/Village Magazine Competition in early 2007. As far as we are aware they never ran the competition again.

A free copy is delivered to every household in the village and by post (if postage paid for) in the forest area. Copies are also available from the Village Shop and Café and in the back of the Church

Bound copies of the village magazines (beginning 1935) have been deposited at the Leicestershire Records Office in Wigston until 2012 when it was decided to discontinue this practise since the PDF versions have been available on line for a number of years.

If you are having an event whether it be family, fund raising or factual and would like it inserting in the magazine please contact the Editor Carole Heubeck.

If you would like to pay for an advertisment, please contact the Advertising Manager Julian Heubeck.

Please note the magazine is not published in August and January. The deadline for copy is the 15th of the preceding month.
