What's been happening
The RHS have introduced a new award designed to be presented to people in the local community whose contributions to horticulture are particularly outstanding and we were delighted to present one to our long-term member Brian Anderson.
Brian was a founder-member of Newtown Linford Gardening Club back in 2002 and has served on the committee all that time, including a spell as its chairman. His horticultural knowledge has benefitted Newtown Linford village for over 60 years, and he has helped many villagers with their gardens during that time, He is currently tree warden for the village.
He is one of the most well-known people in our village and it is most fitting that his service to our community has been recognised. In the picture he is receiving his certificate from our chairman Mike Newcombe.
