the Rev. Edward Bosworth Smallwood MA was educated at Worcester College Oxford. He was born in Birmingham in 1830 and married Celeste Hall (daughter of Rev. Edward Hall MA) in Lichfield Cathedral on the 17th October 1872. Before coming to Newtown Linford he was Curate at Kirby Muxloe in 1861. He died on the 29th July 1874 and was buried in the graveyard on the 3rd August 1874. They had no children.
