oseph Hooley attended Brasenose College Oxford and was ordained as a Deacon at the age of 28 on the 14th March 1742..

• He gained his MA on the 3rd June 1772.
• He was Instituted Vicar of Breedon on the Hill on the 9th May 1755.
• He was Instituted Vicar of Ratby cum Groby (no mention of Newtown Linford on the 3rd June 1772.
• He died on the 28th April 1784. The CCEd records show him as being Vicar of both Breedon and Ratby upon his Death.
