Robert Martin gained a BA at Trinity College Cambridge. He was Ordained Deacon at Prebendal Church Buckden Hunts on the 4th March 1798. He became Curate of Tugby with East Norton on the 4th March 1798. He was Instituted Vicar of Ratby cum Groby on the 22nd March 1827 and died in office on the 3rd March 1833
