Robert Martin gained a BA from Queens College Cambridge. He was ordained Deacon at the Parish Church of Buckden on the 2nd June 1833. He was appointed a Stipendiary Curate at Ratby on the 2nd June 1833 and Vicar of Breedon on the Hill on the 22nd December 22nd December 1828.
